Why our tree houses are not in trees - and why this is exactly right
Many guests imagine a tree house to be a hut that sits directly in the branches. Our tree houses are deliberately not built in trees, but on stilts around five metres above the ground - and for good reason:
- To protect nature: using living trees as a supporting structure means interfering with the health of the trees. Our construction method protects the ecological balance - and still creates the feeling of living at treetop level.
- For genuine hotel comfort: each tree house has a fully equipped bathroom, heating, Wi-Fi and air conditioning - things that would not be possible in traditional "tree huts".
- Architectural freedom: Our stilted architecture allows us to orientate the houses so that you can look out from your bed or balcony directly onto the greenery, old fruit trees or across the vast fields.
This construction method is not a technical detail, but part of our concept: a tree house hotel for adults who want to experience nature - without sacrificing peace, design and comfort.
The result is a place that does not take you back to your childhood, but consciously into the here and now: high up in the treetops, open to the landscape and at the same time protected and private.
Our aim is not to recreate childhood dreams - but to think them further: as modern, sustainable retreats in the midst of nature.
