Our tree houses on the Baltic Sea combine nature, tranquillity and modern design to create a special retreat at treetop level.

Modern tree house lodges, spacious tree house lofts and minimalist tiny houses have been created between meadows, nature trails and an alder forest - sustainably built, furnished to a high standard and deliberately planned with plenty of space between them.

Five to six metres above the ground, you can enjoy far-reaching views, peace and quiet and the feeling of having escaped everyday life for a while.

Our tree house lodges, tree house lofts and tiny houses were born from the idea of creating retreats that consciously blend into the landscape.

Where modern tree houses now stand between meadows, fruit trees and the alder forest, there used to be a mature farm with sweeping views over the hilly landscape of Eastern Holstein.

From the very beginning, the aim was not to build as many houses as possible.

It was about creating peace and quiet.

Our tree houses stand on stilts in the middle of a natural landscape. The surroundings are characterised by orchards, alder forest, an approx. 2 km long nature trail and wide fields - not a classic hotel, but a place with distance and tranquillity.

You are outside and protected at the same time.

Our 25-hectare site is part of the "Bungsberg mit Vorland" nature reserve on the edge of the village of Wangels. The Bungsberg - the highest point in Schleswig-Holstein - is right on our doorstep and makes your experience in the tree house a real nature moment.

Many guests combine their overnight stay in a tree house with a day at the Baltic Sea or a walk through the nature reserve near the Bungsberg.

The Ostsee Baumhaushotel is located in the north of Germany on the Baltic Sea coast near the towns of Heiligenhafen, Fehmarn and Weissenhäuser Strand, slightly inland on the edge of the village of Wangels by an alder forest.

Our resort in nature - a place with a view

Surrounded by greenery, nestled in a small natural area between fruit trees, meadows, wild hedges, fields and the alder quarry: this is the location of our Baltic tree house hotel. The map shows you an overview of the entire site - from the small pond and the tree house spa to the farm shop, the Tiny Houses and the tree houses at treetop level. On the left of the picture is the approx. 2 km long private nature trail.

Here you will find plenty of space between the individual areas - for privacy, tranquillity and a real feeling of nature.

Each house has been designed with light, views and privacy in mind. The orientation follows the natural terrain - between trees, at a distance, but still easily accessible.
