Sustainability is particularly important to us at the Ostsee Baumhaushotel. Our philosophy: A holiday in nature should be in harmony with it. That's why we focus on environmentally friendly concepts that not only preserve the beauty of the surroundings, but also ensure a unique experience.

1. preserving habitats and planting trees
Our tree house hotel is part of the Bungsberg nature reserve. With renaturalised ponds, orchards and extensive meadows where our Galloways graze, we actively contribute to preserving habitats for animals and plants. We deduct a contribution from every booking to plant more trees and shrubs. Feel free to contact us if you would also like to plant a tree with us that will bear your name.

2. natural materials and sustainable construction
Our tree houses are built from certified wood from sustainable forestry. The construction on stilts protects the sensitive soil and the surrounding ecosystem so that nature can retain its original beauty.

3. energy-efficient equipment
We attach great importance to energy efficiency: from modern insulation to energy-efficient appliances and LED lighting, our tree houses are designed to minimise energy consumption. At the same time, air conditioning and modern amenities offer maximum comfort - for an all-round relaxing stay.

4. regionality and short distances
For us, sustainability also means promoting local economic cycles. That's why we work closely with regional suppliers and offer our guests products from the surrounding area. This allows you to enjoy freshness and quality while supporting the region.

5. waste avoidance and recycling
In our tree houses, we use sustainable alternatives such as glass or recycled materials and avoid single-use plastic. Recycling stations enable simple waste separation and ensure conscious use of resources.
